ERRA infect the masses with their latest single 'Divisionary'

The masterful metalcore musicians of mayhem, ERRA, are at it again as they drop the third single from their upcoming self-titled album.

The Alabama-based band decided to name their album ‘ERRA’ after considering all that is going on around the world. This truly is the best time for self-reflection and a good time to infuse the album with self-confrontation throughout, promising the hardest hitting LP of your life!

'Divisionary' follows on from their previous two singles, 'Snowblood' and 'House of Glass', in delivering pure gritty heaviness that delivers a message of how much technology has taken over our lives, which resonates in the lyrics below:

"Technology is God, and God Speaks"

These words echo throughout this track leaving a lasting imprint in the listener's cranium. It's worth remembering how much we rely on the distractions of modern life, and how we have become dependent on them.

"We will drown beneath the vices we disavow
Small black screens are your only god now"

Guitarist and vocalist Jesse Cash explains:

“The song is pretty on the nose and intentionally a bit tongue-in-cheek. It creates a sort of campy parallel between our phones and religion. In the song, technology is God and we are all zealous fanatics of the service it provides, which is a distraction from our immediate realities, which is presence.”

The highly anticipated album 'ERRA', their first outing since parting ways from Sumerian Records, is set for release on March 19th via UNFD. If 'Divisionary' and its two older brothers are anything to go by, it could very well have listeners headbanging, leaving as big of an impression on 2021, as it did on me.

I love this track. I really like my heavy breakdowns as much as any other metalhead, and this definitely ticks that box! Press play below!
