Keeper returns with 'Blue Eyes'

Keeper returns with 'Blue Eyes', the second single from his upcoming debut EP 'GuessImKeeper'.

Many people may still be under the impression that 2021 is the year of the ox, but I'm under the impression that it is, in fact, the year of Keeper.

Following on from the incredible release 'Homegrown', his debut single, Keeper has continued to amaze audiences with fantastic songs from the eagerly anticipated 'GuessImKeeper' EP, this time in the form of 'Blue Eyes'.

An impressive and catchy single, 'Blue Eyes' has me craving for the return of clubs and gigs for the chance to be in a crowd of people chanting "Fuck off, With those blue eyes!" A sentence I never expected to type if I'm honest...

Upon listening to 'Blue Eyes', I had this interpretation that the song was a musical representation of the battle with one's internal thoughts. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I felt a connection instantly and added my own meaning and context to the words blessing my ears.

Emanuel Andrade, a.k.a. Keeper, recently released the following statement discussing the new single:

"This song has to be one of my favourites of the EP, I tried developing my writing style with this one, focus on metaphors and ways of distorting lyrics to make it ambiguous. The song, from my point of view, is a back and forth between the voices on your shoulder, arguing with the bad in hopes of reaching the "good." Trying to fight off the dark and negative basically. Something, which given the current issues, I think is extremely prevalent. It's quite literally telling the despair to 'Fk off"."

It is clearly evident that Keeper hit the nail on the head with this one, this is easily going to become an anthem for the anxious, a ballad for the battling, and a chorus for the conflicted.

From the first time hearing Keeper, I immediately felt like there was a lot more to come from him and that there was something special about him as an artist. 'Blue Eyes' has only confirmed my suspicions and I eagerly await the upcoming EP, an EP that I feel will be sure to blow up!

Keeper's debut EP 'GuessImKeeper' is set for release on March 19th.
