The Bunny The Bear 'At The Top' throwback

The heavy-hitting post-hardcore band from Buffalo are back with the latest single from their highly anticipated album, 'Afterglow'.

The new single, 'At the Top' is a typical The Bunny The Bear track mixing electronica and post-hardcore with the contrasting vocals from Matthew 'The Bunny' Tybor, and Jake 'The Bear 5.0' Reeves providing unclean and clean vocals respectively.

The track talks about thoughts and words associated with a break down in a relationship and wishing that you could go back to the heights of when times were happier, while at the same time accepting reality with lyrics such as:

“I'll pack up my s**t, that's fine."

On the album 'If You Don't Have Anything Nice To Say' they released a song called 'C'est Pas Si Loin' which talks about a love life going sour. This follow up, some nine years later, very much feels like the aftermath of the story.

I, myself have gone through a breakup recently and it has been a really hard time, there's a lot of lyrics here I can associate with. This is the type of song that cements the realisation that as much as I wish I could go back to when my ex-partner and I were together, mentally we all have to accept that life goes on and you just have to do the best you can.

The album drops on the 9th of October 2020 on most platforms. You can check out 'At The Top' below!
